About the Mission

Transforming Bihar through Artificial Intelligence

Approved by the Bihar Cabinet, the Bihar Artificial Intelligence Mission (BAIM) is the state's programme to build a complete AI ecosystem — from classroom to startup to public service — in partnership with institutions of global standing.

A single mission, built on real infrastructure

The mission pairs a five-month advanced AI certification — delivered with the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), the National University of Singapore Institute of Digital Finance and the Linux Foundation — with the Aryabhata Technology Observatory, an AI and quantum-enabled sandbox where that training turns into working products.

Funded by a ₹209 crore outlay under Aryabhata Drishti, it is designed so that a student in any district can learn, build, and launch without leaving the state.

Bihar has India's youngest population. AI Mission Bihar exists so that advantage translates into capability — that the people closest to the state's hardest problems are the ones equipped to solve them.

A certification built with NUS-AIDF and the Linux Foundation is recognised well beyond the state — and is open to non-STEM graduates, not just engineers.
